A biometric system for passing the exam for rights appeared in the Special Center of East Kazakhstan region

In Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semey, when passing a theoretical exam for rights in a special PSC, a biometric system will be used “Now in the Special Centers of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semey, when passing a theoretical exam to obtain a driver's license, a biometric system will be used. That is, a person will be identified by his face. This will prevent any fraudulent activities and reduce corruption risks,” commented Ruslan Kibke, Deputy Director of the branch of the Government for Citizens State Corporation for East Kazakhstan region. Biometrics is a system for recognizing people by one or more physical features, in this case, by comparing a person's face with his photo on a document. Prior to the beginning of the theoretical exam, the applicant undergoes identification, where his photo is compared with the photo on the identity card. “During the exam period, the system performs automatic identification for verification several more times. All this makes it possible to control the entire process of passing the exam, where there is not a single chance for third parties to pass the exam," the department added. To obtain a driver's license, the applicant must pass two exams: theoretical and practical. Theoretical consists of 40 questions; To pass it, you must give at least 32 correct answers. The practical exam consists of 12 tasks on the circuit. Everyone has the opportunity to take the exam up to 3 times: if it was not possible to pass the exam after three attempts, the next time you can come to the exam after 6 months from the date of the last exam. By the way, since the beginning of the year, 932 people have received a driver's license for the first time. Press service of the branch of "Government for Citizens" in East Kazakhstan region
