The allowance for large families is issued proactively

Almost 16,000 Kazakhstani women received benefits for large families in a proactive format. Since last May, women who have a fourth or more child are no longer required to apply to the Public Service Center for benefits for large families, the state itself offers to arrange everything remotely via SMS.

Previously, in order to apply for this allowance, one had to apply to the PSC, having collected a package of documents - an application in the form, an identity card, birth certificates of children and a marriage document. The allowance was assigned from the date of application.

“In the event of the birth of a fourth and subsequent child in a family, a woman receives an SMS message with a proposal to issue not only a birth certificate, birth and care allowances up to a year, but also an allowance for large families. All that is required is the consent of the client via SMS. The necessary information is pulled from the information systems of government agencies. There is no need to go to the Public Service Center,” says Adil Kozhikhov, Chairman of the Board of the State Corporation “Government for Citizens”.

The allowance for large families is paid from the beginning of 2020. The payment can be received by women who are expecting a fourth and subsequent child.

Currently, more than 487,000 Kazakh families receive benefits. Of these, 63,437 women are owners of the Altyn Alka pendant, 138,571 - Kumis Alka.

In 2022, the amount of the benefit is:

49,100 tenge for 4 children;

61,383 tenge for 5 children;

73,666 tenge for 6 children;

85,948 tenge for 7 children;

98230 tenge for 8 children;

 4 MCI for subsequent children.

In Kazakhstan, a large family is considered to be a family in which 4 or more minor children or full-time students live together until they reach 23 years of age. Mothers of many children who have given birth and raised 6 children are awarded with a pendant "Kumis alka", and those who have given birth and raised 7 or more children are awarded with a pendant "Altyn alka".

To receive SMS messages from 1414 with a proactive service offer, the phone number must be registered in the database of mobile citizens. If a woman for some reason cannot receive the service via SMS, she can, as before, apply to the PSC.
