Every year on the first Thursday of February, all countries celebrate the World Election Day, established as a professional holiday of the electoral authorities in 2005 in Budapest (Hungary). The tradition of celebrating the World Election Day was initiated by the Association of Electoral Organizers of European Countries (ACEEO), of which the Republic of Kazakhstan is a full member. At the initiative of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on February 3, 2022, Open Days will be held in precinct and territorial commissions in the East Kazakhstan region, meetings of members of election commissions with students of educational institutions on the topic “Constitutional right to choose and be elected” are planned. In the Ayagoz district, 58 election commissions have been formed, including 1 territorial and 57 precinct election commissions, with a total number of 392 people. The main task that the organizers set themselves is to reveal the role of elections in rooting the basic democratic principles and postulates in the minds of the citizens of our country, the knowledge and understanding by young voters of their right and the opportunity to participate in government, directly or through their freely elected representatives as part of the implementation of constitutionally guaranteed democratic freedoms.
