Wind is one of those natural phenomena affecting the roof that must be taken into account when building any structure.

The territory of the Ayagoz district is subject to strong winds (according to the Kazhydromet branch, the maximum wind speed in the Ayagoz district was gusts up to 28 m/s), as a result of which, according to statistics, annually tears off the roofs and cladding of residential and socio-cultural buildings, power lines break, which leads to a violation of the living conditions of the population and significant material damage, in some cases, alas, becoming the cause of injury to people.

To date, in 2021, as a result of strong winds with gusts of 18-22 m/s, three cases of emergency have occurred. The first case occurred on May 19, 2021, as a result of a strong wind with gusts of 20 m / s, the roofs were partially torn off from the building of the D. Babatayuly secondary school in the city of Ayagoz, the total area of the roof failure was 613 sq. m. The second case occurred on August 9, 2021 as a result of a gusty wind up to 22 m / s. the roof of the secondary school building in the village of Aigyz was partially torn off, the total area of the roof failure was 700 sq. m. and from a residential building located in the village of Aigyz on Sayakhat Street 121, from a residential building located in the village of Aigyz on Sayakhat Street 128, the roof was completely blown off, as well as the supports of the electric transmission line were torn off and broken. The third case on August 12, 2021, as a result of a gusty wind up to 18 m/s, the roof of the E. Rakhmadiev secondary school building in the village of Madeniyet was partially torn off, the area of the roof failure was 600 sq. m..

Basically, roof failures occur in buildings and structures where the roof has not been repaired for a long period of operation, poor-quality roofing materials were used for its repair, or the installation of load-bearing elements during construction or major repairs was not carried out correctly.

The emergency department of the Ayagoz district strongly recommends that residents of the Ayagoz region, in case of increased wind, do not ignore the messages of the rescue service "112", be extremely careful, do not approach weakly fixed and dilapidated structures, abandoned buildings, trees, power lines.
