What is blood plasma?

Plasma is the liquid part of blood. If cells (erythrocytes, leukocytes, platelets) are removed from the blood, protein-rich plasma will remain. Plasma proteins are involved in many functions of the blood, including some of them being antibodies against diseases like coronavirus.
