On the day of the referendum, Kazakhstanis will be able to obtain temporary registration

On October 6, the day of the referendum, citizens of Kazakhstan who do not have a residence permit will be able to register at the address of the polling station. The service will be provided by employees of the Public Service Centers.

In total, more than 10 thousand polling stations will be operating across the country on this day. Employees of the public service centers will be involved in 196 of them. They will register citizens who do not have a residence permit in the Republic of Kazakhstan at the location of the polling station. This decision was made so that all Kazakhstanis could exercise their constitutional right to vote.

It should be noted that on the day of the referendum, employees of the Public Service Centers will work at polling stations from 7:00 to 20:00 and provide citizens with a residence permit for one day. By the way, if a citizen without registration applies to a school, college or hospital to vote, he will be registered directly at this institution. It is important that on October 7, the registration will be automatically canceled and the applicant will need to re-register at the place of residence.

It should also be emphasized that Kazakhstanis who have a residence registration will not be able to obtain a residence permit through the PSC on the day of the referendum, since it is necessary to vote at the place of residence.
