Over 103 thousand marriages have been registered in Kazakhstan

On May 15, the world celebrates the International Day of Families, established by the United Nations. By this date, the "Government for Citizens" has prepared special statistics.

In 10 months, the State Corporation has registered more than 103,000 marriages, including 40,000 new families since the beginning of 2024.

The leaders in the number of weddings are Almaty, Astana and Shymkent.

Also, since July 2023, the birth of 328 thousand new citizens of the country has been registered.

Now the "Government for Citizens" is holding solemn marriage registrations in Astana, Karaganda, Almaty and Kostanay and plans to introduce this service in other cities.

In addition, there are plans to introduce the solemn registration of the birth of a child. Negotiations are already underway with Astana medical institutions on the delivery of birth certificates and their delivery to parents directly in maternity hospitals. If the pilot project in the capital proves to be in demand, it will be scaled up.

Recall that the functions of civil registration were transferred to the "Government for Citizens" on July 1, 2023.
