The Head of State received Akim of the region Abai Nurlan Urankhayev
Nurlan Urankhaev:
▪️ reported on the results of the socio-economic development of the region for 2023:
– last year, investments worth 568.9 billion tenge were invested in the region's economy with an increase of 132.7%, while private investments increased by 131.5%;
– the number of operating SMEs has reached 53.2 thousand with an increase of 107.1%;
– industrial production increased by 105.1%, agriculture – by 103.5%, and the volume of construction work increased by 119.1%;
▪️ said that on behalf of the President, a comprehensive socio-economic development plan is being implemented in the region, consisting of 102 measures with an investment volume of 1.9 trillion tenge:
– projects for the construction of a coal chemical complex at the Karazhyr deposit and a third wind power plant with a capacity of 1 GW are being worked out;
▪️ reported that special attention is paid to the development of interregional cross-border cooperation:
– agreements on joint investment projects and the construction of a temporary border crossing point have been reached jointly with the Xinjiang People's Republic of China;
– work is underway to open the Semey – Tachen flight, which will give an impetus to the development of tourism;
– A roadmap for the development of cooperation with the Republic of Tatarstan has been signed;
▪️ informed about the progress of the development of a feasibility study for the construction of CHP-3:
– according to preliminary calculations, the planned thermal capacity will be 1200 Gcal/hour and electric – 360 MW;
– 46 projects are planned to be implemented in the region with the aim of providing 100% of the population with clean drinking water.
Also:
▪️ in the social sphere, within the framework of the national project "Comfortable School", it is planned to build 11 schools with 5,700 places by 2025;
▪️ as part of the implementation of the national project "Modernization of rural healthcare", 65 primary health care facilities worth 10.8 billion tenge will be built in the region by 2025.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev gave a number of instructions for the further development of the region and improving the welfare of residents.
