Today, the Akim of the East region D.K. Akhmetov visited the Abay district on a working visit.

The purpose of the visit: to get acquainted with the work carried out in the area on the eve of the 175th anniversary of the great Abay. On this day, a solemn meeting dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in the village of Kaskabulak. In addition, the head of the region visited the necropolis of the Kunanbai Uskenbayuly dynasty in the village of Akshoky and got acquainted with the construction of a new Museum. The head of the region noted: "the main task is to respect the parents of the great Abay. The Museum particularly noted that the preservation of Kazakh values and the continuity of generations". The district center got acquainted with the improvement of streets, reconstruction of water supply networks, a new school for 300 seats, as well as construction projects "Abay Park". "According to the instructions of the head of state, K.Tokayev, the celebration of the 175th anniversary of the great Abai is a tradition to honor history and preserve pragmatism, that is, all things should meet the interests of people. Visitors will be able not only to get acquainted with the work of the great poet, but also to relax and study the history of the region," he said. Additional suggestions were also made and instructions were given.
