The National Forum on Internet Governance Qazaqstan IGF 2023 is being held in Almaty

On October 18, 2023, Almaty hosts the first Qazaqstan IGF 2023: The National Forum on Internet Governance in Almaty. This event promotes the creation of an open and secure digital space in Kazakhstan.

Qazaqstan IGF 2023 is held with the official support of the United Nations General Secretariat in partnership with CIB ICRIAP RK, Eurasian Digital Foundation, DRCQ, Level 2, "Digital Paradigm", Blockchain KZ, Maqsut Narikbayev University.

Within the framework of the forum, a memorandum was signed between the Information Security Committee of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan (CIB ICRIAP RK) and the National Institute of Research and Development in the Field of Informatics - ICI Bucharest (Romania).

Talgat Sarsenbaevich Mustagulov, Deputy Chairman of the CIB of the ICRIAP of the Republic of Kazakhstan, spoke about the measures taken to ensure cybersecurity in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as plans for the development of this industry.

More than 200 representatives of government agencies, the private sector, civil society and the academic environment gathered at the Qazaqstan IGF forum to discuss a wide range of issues related to Internet governance, personal data protection and cybersecurity.
