KENESARA KHAN’S MEMORIAL

The memorial is constructed in honor of Abylai Khan's grandson Kenesary Kasymov who was the last governor of the Kazakh Khanate, the leader of the national liberation movement of Kazakhs in 1841-1847. Kenesary Khan died in an unequal fight with Kyrgyz in the valley Keklik-Sengir.
