In accordance with the current legislation, citizens from 16 to 25 years of age who have general secondary, primary vocational (technical and vocational), secondary vocational (post-secondary) and are recognized as fit for service in the fire service bodies by military medical commissions are accepted on a competitive basis to the full-time faculty of the Institute. Admission to the Academy is carried out in accordance with the points of the certificate issued according to the results of the unified national testing or comprehensive testing. Kazakh or Russian language, physics, mathematics, history of Kazakhstan, profile subject-mathematics. In mathematics, you need to score at least 7 points. Separately, an exam on physical fitness is taken - running 100 m. (excellent - 14; good - 14.5; satisfactory - 15), pulling up on the crossbar (excellent -11 times; good 9 times; satisfactory - 7 times.), running 1000m. (excellent - 3.4 min; good - 3.5 min; satisfactory - 4 min. Persons enrolled in accordance with the established procedure at the faculty of full-time education are removed from military registration and placed on special registration with the fire service bodies. For the period of study at the academy, cadets of the first and second, third courses are in a barrack position and full state support, they are subject to the procedure for the operation of military charters, the internal regulations of the university, the order of service by ordinary and commanding staff of law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Free accommodation applies to third and fourth year cadets. For persons who have completed a full course of full-time study under the higher education program of the Academy of Civil Protection, namely 4 years, the training time is equal to the passage of military service. Upon graduation from the academy, a cadet is awarded a special rank-lieutenant of civil protection and he is seconded for further service in the region that sent him to enter the academy. Currently, the Academy trains fire safety and emergency protection engineers for the bodies and departments of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The vast majority of people with higher education working in these bodies and departments are graduates of the Academy. The educational process is carried out by highly qualified teaching staff at three existing faculties - full–time and distance learning, advanced training with the direct participation of five departments – operational and tactical disciplines, fire prevention, general technical disciplines, combat and physical training, social and humanitarian disciplines and language training. The primary attention in the Academy is paid to the improvement of the educational process, the introduction of new technologies, intensive forms and methods of teaching.
