Work to strengthen the banks of the Sergeyev hydroelectric complex continues

Today, the Akim of the North Kazakhstan region Gauez Nurmukhambetov visited the Sergeyev hydroelectric complex, where he heard reports from relevant departments on readiness for the flood period. Due to the severe flooding last year, bank protection works were carried out at the hydroelectric complex. This year, the laying of rubble stone and concrete slabs to strengthen the banks and protect against erosion will continue. In addition, dredging works are planned at the hydroelectric complex.

Strengthening and extension of 8 protective dams in Petropavl and Kyzylzhar district were carried out, as a result, the height of the dams was raised to 7 meters. All calculations were made taking into account the maximum levels of the severe flooding last year. The reconstruction of the first lift pumping station is nearing completion. In general, as part of the implementation of the engineering measures plan, consisting of 109 points, all measures were taken to protect settlements from floods.
