SHYMKENT: REPAIR OF 260 KM OF ROADS COMPLETED
In order to repair the roads in Shymkent, funds have been allocated this year for the construction and repair of 261 sites, 416.8 km of roads and streets. In particular, these funds will be used for construction work on 15 sites, 10 sites will be renovated, 6 sites will be overhauled, average repair of 225 sites and development of design estimates for 15 sites.
Of these, 240 objects or 304.9 km of roads will be put into operation this year.
According to specialists of Shymkent city passenger transport and highways directorate, 225 objects - 260 km of roads-have been repaired over the past 9 months. By the end of the year, another 15 objects (44.9 km) will be put into operation.
In addition, bike paths are under construction on Republic Avenue (from B. Momyshuly street to the station), on A. Askarov street (from Republic Avenue to Abay Avenue), on Zhangeldin street (from Aibergenov street to Rashidov street), on Turkestan street (from A. Baitursynov street to Tashenov street), on A. Baitursynov street (from Turkestan street to the arboretum), on T. Ryskulov street (from A. Baitursynov street to Al-Farabi street).
