A meeting of the Commission on Access to Information met again

On July 15, a regular meeting of the Commission on Access to Information was held in Nur-Sultan and was chaired by the Minister of Information and Social Development Aida Balayeva.

The meeting, held in a remote format, was attended by representatives of central state and local executive bodies, the quasi-public sector, non-governmental and other organizations.

The meeting was informed about the development of Open Government portals and the Common Platform for Internet Resources of State Bodies (CPIR SB), as well as the implementation by state bodies of the Roadmap for reducing the bureaucracy of the state apparatus.

Vice-Minister of Information and Social Development Bolat Tlepov reported on the measures taken and problematic issues, including the untimely updating of information by state bodies on the Open Data portals and the official page on the CPIR SB.

In turn, the Minister noted that these issues should be monitored by authorized persons on access to information, which are defined in all state bodies in accordance with the Law "On Access to Information".

"This means that monitoring, coordination and control are not properly carried out on their part. I paid attention this of the heads of state bodies present today at this meeting, " Aida Balayeva said.

In addition, the Vice-Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry (MDDIAI) A. N. Turysov during the speech made proposals for the further development of the Open Government and UPIR SB portals, as well as on the mechanisms for their implementation.

In turn, A. Balayeva stressed that the comments of representatives of state bodies and public criticism indicate the need for immediate improvement of the work of the Open Government and CPIR SB portals. The Minister also proposed hearing the MDDIAI with reporting information on the work done at a meeting of the Commission in December this year.

Following the meeting, the Commission agreed a number of recommendations to the authorized body in the field of informatization and state bodies in terms of strengthening the quality of work with Open Government portals, a Common Platform for Internet Resources of State Bodies, etc.
