Experts in the field of religion explained how to resist extremist content on the Internet

Today, on March 11, an online seminar was held for regional specialists in the field of religion on countering the spread of radical and destructive religious content in the Internet space.

During the seminar, the participants were clearly explained the principles of monitoring the Internet in order to identify, block and remove extremist content. Experts were able to ask questions and get competent explanations about what materials on religious topics are considered illegal, how to find and work with sources of propaganda of the ideology of destructive religious movements, and much more.

At the same time, it was noted that it is necessary not only to respond to the identified illegal materials, but also to proactively post preventive content that helps strengthen the immunity of citizens to radical ideology.

Following the meeting, the participants expressed their ideas and suggestions for improving the work on preventing and countering religious extremism on the Internet.

Recall that, according to the legislation of the country, the dissemination of information materials aimed at inciting religious hatred, propaganda and justification of extremism or terrorism is prohibited on the territory of the republic.
