“Galitskoe” LP has launched the Canadian production station in a test mode. Due to innovation in the farm, it is possible to assess the productivity and quality of offspring of bulls.
The station is 8 feedlots for 64 bulls. Each animal has a sensor in its ear, which sends necessary data (about 20 indicators) to the center of the enterprise and breeders in Canada. Thus, young breeding animals are monitored for 59 days.
“Thanks to the new system, we can keep an eye on bulls and how much they eat. In addition, we can control the weight of the animal throughout the day. If a bull does not eat enough or it loses the weight, it means that it needs attention”, zootechnician of “Galitskoe” LP Alisher Esilbayev said.
The farm in Uspenka area has introduced such system to increase the number of pedigree bulls for sale.
“After the trial period, the system gives us the number of bulls, which are the best in its category. That is, we can say to buyers that this bull will improve your herd. Such bull will be more expensive and we believe that it is a real pedigree animal in our farm”, the head of "Galitskoe" LP Alexander Kasitsin noted.
Today the station in “Galitskoe” LP works in the test mode under online supervision of the Canadian specialists. In the future the system will work independently. In Kazakhstan there are three such stations.
