800 BILLION TENGE OF INVESTMENTS WILL BE ATTRACTED TO THE TURKESTAN REGION THIS YEAR

 

Over the past 5 months, the Turkestan region has experienced positive growth in all major industries. For example, since the beginning of this year, the volume of industrial production amounted to 238.2 billion tenge, an increase of 30 billion tenge compared to the corresponding period last year. For 5 months, 175.8 billion tenge of investments were sent to the region. Compared to the same period last year, this indicator increased by 37.3%. By the end of the year, it is planned to attract more than 800 billion tenge of investments to the region. This was announced today by the governor of the region Umirzak Shukeyev at a press conference live on the special site of the library "Farab" in the city of Turkestan, the press service of the Governor of the Turkestan region reports.

The press conference organized by the Central Communications Service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held on the topic "Socio-economic development of the Turkestan region within the framework of the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan". According to the speaker, the manufacturing industry produced products worth more than 110 billion tenge.

"Since the beginning of this year, 175.8 billion tenge of investments have been directed to the region. Compared to the same period last year, this indicator increased by 37.3%. In addition, by the end of the year, 81 investment projects with a total cost of 255.5 billion tenge and the creation of 3,243 new jobs are expected to be implemented at the expense of private investments. Within the framework of the Business Support Card, 37 projects worth 39.1 billion tenge were implemented from 2018 to 2020. This year, it is planned to implement 5 projects worth 81.4 billion tenge and create 945 new jobs, " the governor of the region said.

At the same time, 60 projects totaling 41 billion tenge are being implemented in the industrial zones of the Turkestan region, which will create more than 4 thousand jobs. This year, it is planned to implement 6 projects worth 1,865. 3 million tenge with the creation of 683 jobs. To date, about 50 investment projects worth 480 billion tenge have been launched in the special economic zone "TURKISTAN" . Moreover, the volume of gross industrial output this year is planned to reach 565 billion tenge, " he said.
