ABOUT 200 LAMPS WILL HIGHLIGHT THE GRANDEUR OF THE MAUSOLEUM OF YASAWI
On the territory of the Azret Sultan museum-reserve there are tombs of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, Rabiah Sultan Begim, Esimkhan and an octagonal mausoleum, a former barracks building and a fortress wall.
When designing the unique lighting solution for the mausoleum of Yassaoui, it was necessary to preserve the individuality, integrity and authenticity of the monument, its religious and historical heritage, as well as architectural details.
Bagila Isakova, technical director, designer, noted that every detail of the architecture will be illuminated.
"This is an unfinished main facade, a large dome with an octagonal base and a four-sided base with panels, niches, glazed tiles with geometric patterns with epigraphic ornaments. The lighting solution will create an atmosphere that emphasizes the sacredness of the place, suitable for both prayers and tourism," Isakova said.
Before developing the lighting solution, the experts carefully studied the experience of such projects - the Hagia Sophia mosque (Istanbul, Turkey), the Sharjah mosque (Sharjah, UAE) and others.
The project is implemented taking into account the recommendations of specialists, restorers and archaeologists of the RSE Kazrestavratsiya and the Azret Sultan museum-reserve.
The individual lighting solution is developed thanks to modern LED technologies and different types of lamps. To emphasize the grandeur of the mausoleum of Yasawi, 187 lamps will be used. For uniform illumination of the walls of the tomb, linear installations built into the ground with different optics will be used. Note that the architectural lighting will be controlled by the DMX protocol, where each device can be adjusted in brightness and color.
The conducted testing revealed a unique property of majolica of the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. When the characteristics of optics and light change, various elements of epigraphy (calligraphic inscriptions on the walls of the mausoleum) appear. These properties of the mausoleum will become one of the central elements of the lighting scenario.
