20 BILLION TENGE WERE CONSIDERED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ROAD INDUSTRY

At the end of the year, 828 objects, more than 1.5 thousand km of roads and streets were completed and put into operation in the Turkestan region. Large-scale work continues this year. In 2021, it is planned to increase the share of local roads in good and satisfactory condition by 81.4%. This is stated during the staff meeting chaired by the mayor of the region Umirzak Shukeyev.

In the Turkestan region, the length of roads and streets of settlements is 17,637 kilometers. Last year, 54.8 billion tenge were allocated from the budget for the development of highways. According to the head of the Department of Passenger Transport and Highways of the Turkestan region, Roland Ibragimov, this year 19.9 billion tenge were allocated from the budget for the development of the road industry. It is planned to cover 156 objects or 538 km of roads and streets of settlements.

This year, it is planned to put into operation a road to the airport of Turkestan, roads in the directions of Turkestan-Kentau, Turkestan-Baltakol, Kentau-Ashysay, Shymkent-Aksukent, Aksukent-Karamurt, Shymkent-Sairam, Sharapkhana-Zhanabazar. In addition, the planned completion of works on reconstruction of roads of regional significance in Maktaaral, Zhetisai, Keles areas.

In April, 16.3 km of road to the newly built airport in Turkestan will be put into operation. The average repair of the Turkestan-Kentau road with a length of 19 km is underway. This includes shoes, a bike path, and lighting. In addition, the repair of 26.6 km of the access road to the city of Turkestan from Kentau has been started.

113.2 km to the directions of the Turkestan - Baltakol, Turkestan-Karnak-Kentau, Kentau-Ashchysay. major and medium-sized repairs of highways are being carried out. The repair work will be fully completed by the end of the year. In the direction of Shardara-Temirlan, major and medium repairs of roads with a total length of 162.6 km are being carried out.

More than 50 km of roads are being repaired on the routes Shymkent-Aksukent, Aksukent-Karamurt, Shymkent-Koksayek. By the end of the year, the work will be fully completed and transferred to the benefit of the people. On the territory of Maktaaral, Zhetysay, and Keles districts, roads with a length of about 50 km are being repaired. In addition, 11 regional highways with a total length of 184.6 km are being improved in this area. These roads will be put into operation in September.
