The Ombudsmen of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Turkey visited the Akhmet Yassawi University

Turkestan, June 21, 2022 – The Khoja Ahmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University was visited by a delegation headed by the Human Rights Commissioners of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Turkey Elvira Azimova and Sheref Malkoch.

The Ombudsmen of the two fraternal countries visited the university campus and witnessed great opportunities for the library and students. The director of the library, Ms. Akmeruert Absemetova, familiarized the library with the «Research center for Sustainable Development», the reading room «Akhmet Yassawi» and «linguistic centers», and allowed her to leave her wishes in the «wish book».

In addition, after the library, the guests got acquainted with the layout of the university in the Cultural Center, with the museum of Turkic peoples.

The Rector of the University, Ms. Temirbekova Zhanar, acquainted the guests with 30 projects launched within the framework of the 30th anniversary of the university.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Human Rights Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Turkey and our educational institution.

In the future, joint projects will be implemented within the framework of close cooperation between our university and this committee. The results of the meeting were summed up with the wishes that our university would make efforts for the socio-economic and cultural development of the country, strengthening friendship and cooperation between peoples.

It should be noted that Elvira Abylkhasimovna graduated in 1995 with a law degree, chairman of the Alumni Association.

The Turkmen brothers, who were at the reception of the akim of Turkestan before studying, came to the Southern region for the first time.

Elvira Abylkhasimovna expressed gratitude to the students of the university campus and the library for the opportunities provided. On the part of the university, the guests were presented with gifts and photographed for memory.
