A modern unified oil extraction plant with a capacity of 200 thousand tons of oil per year has been launched in the East Kazakhstan region, which will be able to provide the regions of the country with its oil, and will also be able to export it to other countries. This became known during the working trip of First Vice Minister Arman Shakkaliev.

During the visit to the region, the First Vice Minister met with entrepreneurs and the public of the region, held a personal reception of citizens, answered journalists' questions. And also visited the objects of sale and production of socially significant food products:  Altyn-Shygys LLP plant, Vostok-Milk Corporation LLP, Dos-Nar market.

According to Arman Shakkaliev, East Kazakhstan Region ranks first in terms of the size of sunflower sown areas in the country, the presence of a sufficient raw material base in this region contributed to the construction of the largest oil extraction plant in Kazakhstan in 2019. At a cost of 28.8 billion tenge, the processing capacity of sunflower seeds is 1000 tons per day.

"To stabilize prices for socially significant food products, the government applies rapid and systematic measures. So, in East Kazakhstan region already  JSC "SEC "Ertis" with LLP Krupnoff signed an agreement on a revolving scheme for the supply of sugar in the amount of 1 billion 694 million tenge, where there will be a fixed price of sugar. Systemic measures to stabilize sugar prices are laid down in the comprehensive plan for the development of the sugar industry, calculated until 2026. These measures involve, among others, an increase in the area for growing sugar beet and the modernization of domestic factories to provide residents with sugar in sufficient quantities," Arman Shakkaliyev said.

In addition, the First Vice Minister informed that in order to stabilize the prices of basic foodstuffs in the East Kazakhstan region, 846 memoranda were signed with supermarkets, convenience stores, manufacturers on not exceeding the trade premium of 10%. on social products.  Agricultural fairs are also held in the region on an ongoing basis, more than 600 fairs have already been held, where products worth 2.7 billion rubles have been sold. There are 30 social shops and 417 social corners in the region, where the main socially significant food products are sold with a minimum trade allowance.
