A memorandum on price stabilization was signed with domestic sugar producers

Today in Astana, representatives of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other interested government agencies, social and entrepreneurial corporations, "Aksu Sugar Factory" LLP, "Merken Sugar" LLP, "Koksu Sugar Factory" LLP and "Taraz Sugar Factory" LLP signed a memorandum of cooperation on curbing sugar prices in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The document will allow  to stabilize sugar prices, ensure food security and develop the sugar industry in the country.

According to Yerzhan Kazanbayev, Chairman of the Trade Committee of the MTI of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the signing of the memorandum is an important stage in the introduction of new mechanisms of the system of state financial support, involving the allocation of working capital directly to agricultural producers. This will not only ensure the availability of socially significant products on the domestic market, but also develop the sugar industry as a whole.

«Sugar factories will be able to purchase a three-month volume of raw sugar and ensure continuous processing throughout the year. In turn, the plants will make clear counter commitments to fix the selling price for 1 year, mandatory modernization of plants, increase storage capacity and clear execution of the plan for the development of the sugar industry»,- the Chairman of the Trade Committee of the MTI of the Republic of Kazakhstan said during the signing of the memorandum.
