Arman Shakkaliyev appointed First Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration Serik Zhumangarin introduced First Vice Minister Arman Shakkaliyev to the team.

«I am sure that Arman Abayevich's knowledge and experience will contribute to the further development of the industry,» - Serik Zhumangarin said.

The Minister of Trade thanked the former First Vice-Minister Yerlan Yerkinovich Battakov for the work done.

Arman Shakkaliyev was born in 1977 in the Karaganda region.

Graduated from L. Gumilyov Eurasian University (specialty «lawyer»), Karaganda State University. Buketova (specialty «Economist»), M. Dulatov Kostanay University of Engineering and Economics (specialty «standardization, certification and metrology").

He started his career in 1998 as a legal adviser in JSC «Agency for Reorganization and Liquidation of Enterprises» in Astana and Akmola region. From 2001 to 2004, he worked in leadership positions in the Agency for Reorganization and Liquidation of Enterprises, the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for State Material Reserves, the Ministry of State Revenue of Kazakhstan.

He started working in the system of technical regulation since 2004 as the director of the RSE «Kazakhstan Institute of Metrology».

From June 2008 to April 2016, he held the position of Director of the Republican State Enterprise «Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Certification».

From 2016 to 2018 - Director of the Department of Technical Regulation and Accreditation of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

From 2018 to 2019 - Chairman of the Committee of Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From August 2019 to September 2020 - Chairman of the Committee of Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From November 2020 to October 2022 - Member of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission from the Republic of Kazakhstan, Minister for Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation of the EEC.

He was awarded the medal «for Valiant Labor», the Cavalier of the order «Kurmet».
