Kazakhstan continues to demonstrate positive dynamics in attracting investments in the trade sector and related areas. In January–July 2026, the volume of investments amounted to 637.2 billion tenge, an increase of 22.3% compared to the same period last year.
Positive dynamics are observed in several regions at once. Particularly high growth rates were recorded in North Kazakhstan and Karaganda regions, Shymkent, Kostanay region, Abai region, Mangystau region, and Almaty. At the same time, Almaty remains one of the largest centers of investment activity: over seven months, the city attracted 204.3 billion tenge in investments. Significant volumes were also noted in the Turkestan region — 88.7 billion tenge.
In the structure of investments by type of economic activity, the largest volume falls on wholesale and retail trade — 246.6 billion tenge. Significant volumes in related areas also fall on financial and insurance activities, real estate rental and management, as well as building maintenance and landscaping.
The positive dynamics reflect the growth of business activity and the expansion of the investment base of the trade industry. New investments are directed towards the development of trade infrastructure, the expansion of modern trade formats, and the creation of new opportunities for entrepreneurs.
The Ministry of Trade and Integration, together with akimats, continues systematic work on attracting investments, project support, and creating conditions for the further development of modern trade infrastructure.
