
Kanat Sharlapaev, the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, met with representatives from Jiaxing International Resources Investment LTD. The meeting focused on the progress of the tungsten extraction project at the Bugutinskoe deposit in the Almaty region.
LLP "Zhetysu Tungsten" is building a mining enterprise to extract tungsten from the Bugutinskoe deposit in the Almaty region. The Bugutinskoe deposit is under a mineral extraction contract (No. 4608-TPI dated June 2, 2015, valid for 25 years).
Construction and mining operations are actively proceeding, with the commissioning scheduled for the end of 2024. The establishment of the mine and the processing plant is expected to create 1,000 jobs.
The project involves the extraction and processing of 3.3 million tons of tungsten ores to produce a 65% tungsten concentrate.Currently, a feasibility study is being conducted for the construction of a deep-processing complex, which will further process the 65% tungsten concentrate into 88.5% ammonium paratungstate and high-purity tungsten carbide.At the meeting's conclusion, the parties expressed appreciation for each other and highlighted the importance of developing bilateral relations.
