In Kazakhstan, in 2020 it is planned to open traffic for 2600 km of roads, such a task was set by the Head of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the branch ministry. The first object to visit was the reconstruction sites of the Taldykorgan-Kalbatau-Ust-Kamenogorsk highway in the East Kazakhstan and Almaty regions. The road is strategically important for the development of the country's tourism potential, as it passes near the resort area of Lake Alakol. This year, it is planned to open traffic throughout the highway, which will correspond to 1 and 2 technical categories.
Another project that will help increase the tourist flow in the region is the reconstruction of the Usharal-Dostyk highway leading to the border with China. Upon completion of the work, it is planned to increase not only the number of tourists, but also the amount of cargo transportation by road.
This year, traffic will be opened on 60 km of the highway. Another project that will open prospects for the region is the reconstruction of the Kalbatau-Maykapshagay road. 415 km of track will be available for travel in 2020.
