
A meeting of the Public Council on Public Finance of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held. During the meeting, key public finance issues were reviewed: the draft republican budget for 2027–2029, the results of the public procurement system reform, and the implementation of tax reform. Deputy Minister of Finance Abzal Beisenbekuly presented the draft republican budget for 2027–2029. During the discussion, members of the Public Council examined the draft's main provisions, offered suggestions, and raised questions regarding specific areas of budget policy.
Particular attention is paid to the results of the public procurement system reform. It is noted that the ongoing work aims to further digitize and simplify procurement procedures, reduce the timeframes for these processes, and improve the efficiency of budget fund utilization. Additional support mechanisms for domestic manufacturers and new approaches to implementing major construction projects are also envisaged. Members of the Public Council were briefed on the implementation progress of the new Tax Code.
The key changes are aimed at reducing tax reporting requirements, simplifying tax administration, and creating clearer, more transparent conditions for citizens and businesses. New approaches to taxation were also discussed, including the application of differentiated rates for certain types of taxes. Following the meeting, members of the Public Council emphasized the importance of further improving the systems for budgeting, taxation, and public procurement, while taking into account the interests of citizens and businesses.
