Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Moldova Almat Aidarbekov took part at opening of the “Discover Kazakhstan” photo exhibition organized with the support of Chișinău City Hall.
Ambassador Aidarbekov noted that the friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Moldova are based on mutual respect. Meetings between Presidents Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Maia Sandu, the opening of Moldova’s Embassy in Astana and Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi’s official visit to Kazakhstan in 2025 have contributed to further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The Ambassador emphasised that the exhibition offers residents and visitors of Chișinău an opportunity to discover Kazakhstan’s nature, cultural heritage and contemporary character. He thanked General Mayor Ion Ceban and the staff of City Hall for supporting the initiative and helping to bring it to fruition.
General Mayor highlighted its contribution to the cultural life of Chișinău. He noted that such initiatives enable residents to learn about the history and traditions of other countries, strengthen friendly ties and create opportunities for further cooperation.
The exhibition marks Kazakhstan’s Republic Day and the 590th Anniversary of Chișinău. It aims to introduce residents and visitors of the Moldovan capital to Kazakhstan’s nature, historical and cultural heritage, and contemporary development, while helping to strengthen friendly ties between the two peoples.
The display features 43 photographs — 43 windows into Kazakhstan. The images introduce visitors to majestic mountains and vast steppes, ancient monuments and sacred sites, national traditions and the architecture of modern cities. Together, they reveal the diversity of a country that carefully preserves its heritage and continues to develop.
