Kazakhstan's National Exhibition Opened in Geneva

On the margins of the 68th Series of Meetings of the Assemblies of the Member States of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the National Exhibition of the Republic of Kazakhstan «Kazakhstan. Heritage of the Great Steppe» was officially opened.

The exhibition was organized by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Institute of Intellectual Property «Qazpatent», with the support of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the World Trade Organization (WTO).

The event was held at WIPO headquarters and was accompanied by a concert program performed by the ethno-folk ensemble «Joshy Qazaq National Group».

Special attention of the guests was drawn to the Living Canvases project – an immersive multimedia format that brings works of Kazakh painting to life through movement, sound, animation and digital technologies. The project demonstrated how Kazakhstan's cultural heritage can be presented in a modern interpretation, bringing together tradition, creativity and innovation.

«Art is the soul of a nation, and culture is its spiritual identity» – these words by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, formed the conceptual foundation of the exhibition.

The musical continuation of the ceremony was a performance by the «Joshy Qazaq National Group», which presented a contemporary sound of traditional Kazakh instruments and ethnic music.

Kazakhstan's national exhibition at WIPO became a vivid cultural event and an important contribution to the international dialogue on the role of creativity, intellectual property and creative industries in the development of modern society. The exhibition highlighted Kazakhstan's commitment to promoting its national culture globally and demonstrated that respect for historical heritage is a strong foundation for an innovative future.

The exhibition presented Kazakhstan as the land of the Great Steppe – a space of open horizons, ancient knowledge and rich cultural memory. Visitors had the opportunity to explore historical artifacts, traditional jewelry, elements of national costume, visual materials and modern multimedia formats revealing the beauty and symbolism of Kazakh culture.
