Kazakhstan and Pakistan Open Their First Joint Artificial Intelligence Center

Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, visited Gujranwala on July 6, where he participated in the opening ceremony of the first Kazakhstan-Pakistan Artificial Intelligence Center and the signing of a bilateral cooperation agreement.

The establishment of the Center is the result of agreements reached during the business forum held as part of the State Visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, K.Tokayev, to Islamabad on February 3-4, 2026.

Muhammad Anwar Dar, Founder and Chairman of GIFT University, where the Center has been established, and Ahmad Ikram Lone, Chairman of the Gujranwala Business Alliance and the initiator of the project, expressed their appreciation to the Kazakh side for its support in implementing the initiative and reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation with partners from Kazakhstan in the field of artificial intelligence.

For his part, Nurkozha Kaliaskarov, Head of the Kazakh company NSART, emphasized the importance of implementing this initiative and expressed his commitment to ensuring the Center's meaningful and substantive operation.
Ambassador Y.Kistafin congratulated the participants on the launch of the project, emphasizing the high priority that the leaders of Kazakhstan and Pakistan attach to advancing cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence.

During his stay in Gujranwala, Ambassador Kistafin also visited the headquarters of the Gujranwala Business Alliance, as well as the newly established Gujranwala Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry. During the meeting with representatives of the business community, the parties discussed ways to further strengthen business ties and expand and diversify trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.

Following the talks, the parties agreed to organize the next visit to Kazakhstan by a delegation from Gujranwala comprising representatives of the business and academic communities.
