
The Kazakhstan–Thailand Business Forum was held in Bangkok with the participation of representatives of government agencies, business associations and the business communities of the two countries.
During the forum, the parties discussed prospects for the development of bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as opportunities to expand collaboration in the fields of agro-industry, food production, transport and logistics, digital technologies, e-commerce, tourism and sustainable development.
The Kazakh side presented the country’s investment potential, the opportunities offered by the Astana International Financial Centre and Astana Hub, as well as state support measures for investors.
Particular attention was paid to leveraging Kazakhstan’s potential as a key transport and logistics hub connecting Central Asia, China, the Caucasus and Europe, as well as to the prospects for promoting Kazakh products in the markets of Thailand and other ASEAN countries.
The forum also featured thematic presentations by representatives of Thai businesses, focusing on export-import operations, certification, logistics and the development of distribution channels. In addition, B2B meetings were held between representatives of companies and business associations from both countries.
The participants of the forum confirmed their mutual interest in further expanding trade and economic cooperation and implementing joint investment projects aimed at bringing Kazakhstan-Thailand cooperation to a new level.
Following the forum, a number of bilateral documents were signed, including Memorandums of Cooperation between the Akimat of Almaty Region and tourism associations of Thailand, as well as several commercial agreements. The signed documents are aimed at strengthening direct ties between business communities, attracting Thai tourists to Kazakhstan, exchanging trade, economic and investment information, supporting specialized companies and promoting joint initiatives.
