A Gala Concert and Film Screenings Held in Tirana as Part of the First Days of Kazakh Culture in Albania

Tirana, October 19-21, 2025 – A gala concert was held at “Sheshi Italia”, one of central squares of Tirana to launch the First Days of Kazakh Culture in Albania. Big event was organized by Embassy of Kazakhstan in Albania in cooperation with Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Culture of Albania, Municipality of Tirana, “Qazaqconcert” state musical organization named after Roza Baglanova, and with support of Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Albania.

Festive evening featured an open-air concert with performances by the Kazakh ethno-folk ensemble “TURAN” and popular singer ADAM, Kazakhstan’s Goodwill Ambassador.

The musical program combined the authentic sound of the Kazakh steppe with the contemporary music scene of Kazakhstan. The group “TURAN”, known as a cultural ambassador of the Turkic world, delivered a masterful performance on traditional instruments, immersing the audience in the atmosphere of ancient nomadic culture. The performance by ADAM, one of Kazakhstan’s most popular artists, resonated deeply with the audience. His song “Zhurek”, which became a hit on digital platforms, was a highlight of the evening.

Concert was open and free for public, drawing a large number of residents and guests of capital. Among the attendees were representatives of Albanian state and cultural institutions, members of diplomatic corps, and Kazakh diaspora.

Kazakhstan’s Cultural Days in Albania continued on October 20-21 with screenings of Kazakh films at the “Agimi” Art Center in Tirana. The program featured three films by “Kazakhfilm” studio: the historical drama “Myn Bala: Warriors of the Steppe” directed by Akan Satayev, the action drama “Operation Nabat” directed by Rashid Suleimenov, and the biographical film “Amre” depicting life and legacy of iconic Kazakh singer Amre Kashaubayev.

Particular interest was drawn by “Operation Nabat”, followed by an engaging Q&A session with lead actor Bakhyt Khadzhibayev. He answered questions from audience and gave interviews to Albanian media. This open dialogue reflected the genuine curiosity of Albanian public toward Kazakh cinema and culture as a whole.

Kazakhstan’s Cultural Days in Albania marked an important milestone in expanding bilateral humanitarian ties and created new opportunities for cultural exchange and strengthening friendship between the peoples of Kazakhstan and Albania.
