Geneva, October 13-24, 2025 – The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the World Trade Organization took part in the High-Level Event on the “Early Warnings for All (EW4All)” Initiative, held within the framework of the Congress.
Kazakhstan’s participation in the event demonstrates the country’s commitment to enhancing the climate resilience, developing national hydrometeorological systems, and expanding international cooperation within the WMO framework. Kazakhstan is also engaged in regional EW4All initiatives in the South Caucasus region.
This year Congress focuses on the digital transformation of hydrometeorological services, climate adaptation, and the expansion of the global “Early Warnings for All” (EW4All) initiative launched by UN Secretary-General António Guterres in 2022.
The EW4All initiative aims to ensure that by 2027 every country and every person in the world has access to early warning systems for weather and climate-related hazards. It brings together the efforts of the WMO, UNEP, ITU, UNDRR, and other UN agencies, supporting the strengthening of national systems for monitoring, forecasting, and emergency response.
