Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia Strengthen Cooperation in the Customs Field

Riyadh, October 14, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia Madiyar Menilbekov held a meeting with Suhail bin Mohammed Abanmi, Governor of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority of the Kingdom.

During the conversation, the parties noted the positive dynamics of the development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. In particular, in January-August 2025, bilateral trade turnover reached 8 million US dollars marking a 23% increase compared to the same period of the last year.

In this context special attention was given to encouraging trade and investment by simplifying border crossing and customs clearance procedures.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue consultations aimed at providing specific support to business representatives from both states.
