Prospects for Further Economic Cooperation with Kazakhstan Discussed in Greece

Athens, October 13, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Greece Timur Sultangozhin met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Harry Theoharis.

During the talks the sides exchanged views on a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening political dialogue and developing economic ties between Kazakhstan and Greece.

Ambassador Sultangozhin presented information on the ongoing economic reforms in Kazakhstan and measures aimed at attracting foreign investment, emphasizing the country’s openness to Greek companies and readiness to deepen business partnership.

Deputy Minister Theoharis noted that Kazakhstan is an important and reliable partner of Greece in Central Asia, with which Athens seeks to build long-term and mutually beneficial relations.

Special attention was paid to the preparations for the next session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Technological Cooperation, as well as to potential areas of collaboration in the fields of transport and logistics.

The sides also reviewed the status of several bilateral agreements under discussion, including those on air services, mutual protection of investments, taxation, and regulation of digital assets.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their intention to continue constructive interaction and coordination of efforts to further expand Kazakhstan–Greece partnership in areas of mutual interest.
