The Development of Tourism Cooperation was Discussed in Madrid

Madrid, October 13, 2025 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Spain Danat Musayev met with Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) Zurab Pololikashvili at the headquarters of UN Tourism in Madrid.

During the constructive conversation, topical issues of cooperation between Kazakhstan and UN Tourism were discussed, including the development of sustainable tourism, the promotion of Kazakhstan's tourism potential, as well as the intensification of bilateral cooperation within the framework of the Organization's activities.

The parties paid a special attention to preparations for the 1st  UN Tourism Regional Conference on Europe, dedicated to the empowerment of women in the field of tourism, which will be held on October 22-23, 2025 in Almaty. The meeting participants expressed confidence that the upcoming forum will become a significant international platform for developing practical solutions aimed at enhancing the role of women in the tourism industry.

Ambassador Musayev expressed gratitude to the Secretary General for supporting Kazakhstan's initiatives and confirmed his readiness to further deepen cooperation with the Organization. In turn, Z.Pololikashvili noted the role of Kazakhstan as an important partner of UN Tourism in the region and expressed confidence in the successful holding of the conference in Almaty.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain regular contacts and continue working together to strengthen partnerships.
