Melodies of the Great Steppe Sounded in the Heart of the Balkans

Belgrade, October 12, 2025 – The musicians of the ethno-folk ensemble Turan and Qazaqconcert launched their Balkan tour “Melodies of the Great Steppe” in the capital of Serbia. Authentic dombra kyuis, folk epics, as well as works of Kazakh and world classical music were performed in the Kolarac concert hall, renowned for its rich musical traditions.

The festive event was dedicated to the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan and brought together representatives of Serbia’s political leadership, the diplomatic corps, academic and scientific circles, heads of public organizations, business representatives, media, and figures of culture and sports.

Guests also had the opportunity to view a photo exhibition dedicated to outstanding Kazakh women. The Serbian audience warmly received the performance of the Kazakh musicians. The concert tour will continue with performances in the cities of Užice and Vranje.
