Athens, October 10, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Greece Timur Sultangozhin, held a meeting with the management of Greece’s largest airline, «Aegean Airlines». The meeting was focused on prospects for establishing direct air connectivity between Kazakhstan and Greece, as well as on expanding cooperation in civil aviation and tourism.
The Ambassador emphasized that developing direct air routes serves the mutual interests of both countries and would contribute to the growth of tourist exchanges, business relations, and humanitarian ties. He noted that Kazakhstan views Greece as one of its key partners in the Southeast European region, possessing strong tourism and transit potential.
The management of «Aegean Airlines» expressed its interest in exploring opportunities to enter the Kazakh market and highlighted the attractiveness of the route in terms of potential passenger growth and cooperation with Kazakhstan’s national air carriers.
Both sides agreed to maintain regular dialogue and to work jointly on the practical aspects of potential partnership, including information exchange between the aviation authorities and relevant institutions of the two countries.
