New Delhi, October 6, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to India Azamat Yeskarayev met with members of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) to discuss prospects for joint cooperation. The meeting was held at the initiative of the Indian side and brought together around 30 leading companies from various sectors of the economy.
During his opening speech Ambassador Yeskarayev briefed participants about current economic situation between two countries and presented the advantages of Kazakhstan’s favorable investment climate. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of new joint investment projects in the country.
In addition, the head of the Kazakh diplomatic mission noted that at this period, the trade and economic potential has not been fully realized. According to him, there are significant opportunities for growth in trade turnover between two countries in the near future to 3 billion US dollars.
While, executives of Indian companies asked questions about supporting tools for foreign investors, for their questions provided comprehensive answers.
During the meeting, particular attention was paid to cooperation in economic sectors such as construction, IT, pharmaceuticals, tourism, industry, renewable energy sources.
A series of productive meetings were held as part of this event, during which relevant investment teasers were presented to representatives of Indian companies.
In addition, the management of the FICCI Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced plans to organize a visit by Indian companies to Kazakhstan before the end of this year.
The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) was established in 1927 and is India’s largest and oldest supreme business organization. FICCI includes both private and state-owned commercial companies, as well as international companies and regional chambers of commerce and industry from various Indian states, with a total of nearly 300,000 members.
