Bucharest, October 7, 2025 – A round table organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Romania, together with the Middle East Political-Economic Institute (MEPEI) and the analytical center «EuroDefense Romania», was held.
The event was timed to coincide with the discussion of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's Address to the People of Kazakhstan, «Kazakhstan in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Modern Challenges and Solutions through Digital Transformation».
During the meeting, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Romania Yerlik Ali presented to the participants the main directions of the state policy of Kazakhstan aimed at digital transformation and development of artificial intelligence. He stressed that digitalization occupies a key place in the strategy of sustainable development of the country, contributing to the improvement of public administration, improving the quality of life of citizens and strengthening human capital.
Diplomat noted the importance of international cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of digital technologies, expressing Kazakhstan's readiness to expand partnerships and implement joint projects in this area.
In his speech, the Kazakh diplomat also highlighted the main messages of the speech of the Head of State, voiced at the 80th session of the UNGA. Special attention was paid to Kazakhstan's foreign policy priorities aimed at strengthening international cooperation and active participation in global initiatives in the field of digital technologies and innovations.
Representatives of the diplomatic corps, academia and think tanks took part in the discussion. Romanian experts showed high interest in the presented initiatives, shared their experience and ideas, emphasizing the potential for expanding partnerships in the field of digital technologies, cybersecurity and sustainable development.
The roundtable became a significant platform for discussing the role of artificial intelligence in building a sustainable and competitive future for Kazakhstan, and contributed to strengthening the partnership between Kazakhstan and Romania in the context of digital transformation and innovation cooperation.
