New Delhi, August 27, 2025 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to India Azamat Yeskarayev met with Secretary of Culture of India Vivek Aggarwal.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for developing cooperation in the field of culture, as well as the possibility of implementing joint initiatives in this area.
Ambassador Yeskarayev emphasized the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and India, he also noted that Kazakhstan highly values its longstanding strategic partnership with India, which characterized by increased cooperation in the educational and humanitarian spheres and strong people-to-people ties.
In addition, the head of the Kazakh diplomatic mission proposed to consider the possibility of opening a cultural center named after Abai in the Indian city of New Delhi or in Mumbai, similar to the Swami Vivekananda cultural center in Astana, as well as naming one of the streets of New Delhi after the great kazakh figure.
Secretary Aggarwal mentioned the possibilities of implementing joint nominations for the UNESCO World Heritage list for historical sites of India and Kazakhstan.
At the end of the meeting, both sides reached an agreement on the implementation of measures aimed at deepening cooperation between the two countries in the field of museum, theater and film industry.
