Intensification of Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation with Kazakhstan Discussed in the Senate of Jordan

Amman, October 1, 2025 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Jordan Talgat Shaldanbay met with Senate Speaker Faisal Al-Fayez in the Senate of the Parliament of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation. The importance of the visits of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Amman and King Abdullah II to Astana in 2025, which marked a new milestone in the development of relations, was emphasized. Particular attention was paid to parliamentary diplomacy. The parties reaffirmed the need to intensify interparliamentary cooperation, including through parliamentary friendship groups, as an effective mechanism for advancing the agreements reached.

During the meeting, it was noted that Jordan, under the leadership of King Abdullah II, continues to pursue political and economic modernization, maintaining its status as an «oasis of stability» in the Middle East. Additionally, the Jordanian side was informed about the large-scale reforms being implemented in Kazakhstan in the areas of digitalization, energy, transportation, logistics infrastructure and social modernization.

Ambassador Shaldanbay outlined the strategic objectives outlined by President in his Address to the People of Kazakhstan dated September 8, 2025, «Kazakhstan in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Key Tasks and Their Solutions through Digital Transformation». It was emphasized that this policy document reflects the country's commitment to economic modernization, the active implementation of innovation, and the formation of a just society.

The dialogue took place in a constructive atmosphere and reaffirmed the mutual commitment to further strengthening political, economic and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
