Interparliamentary Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Latvia  Discussed in Riga

Riga, 24 September 2025 - Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dauren Karipov and Deputy Speaker of the Saeima – Head of the Latvian Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Zanda Kalniņa-Lukaševica held a meeting in the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia.

The Ambassador briefed on the political and economic reforms in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the main provisions of the Head of State's Address "Kazakhstan in the era of artificial intelligence: current challenges and their solutions through digital transformation". He emphasized that Kazakhstan and Latvia have significant potential and successful experience in implementing digitalization in all spheres of life in their countries, which opens up new opportunities for cooperation.

During the meeting the parties discussed issues of intensifying inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, including within the framework of international parliamentary organizations. In this regard, they exchanged views on the current agenda of the upcoming PACE session in Strasbourg.
