Helsinki, September 22, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Finland Azamat Abdraimov met with Janne Taalas, Director General of the Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on current regional and international issues and explored promising areas of bilateral cooperation.
The Kazakh diplomat informed his counterpart about the large-scale reforms being implemented under the leadership of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, highlighting the key points of the recent Presidential Address. Particular emphasis was placed on the country’s political modernization and socio-economic transformation. These initiatives, which resonate with the Finnish experience, open up broad opportunities for joint projects in the fields of green energy, innovation, and artificial intelligence.
The Ambassador also underlined that Kazakhstan, actively promoting the principles of dialogue, stability, and global security, shares the values of the Foundation and views cooperation with it as a meaningful contribution to strengthening international peacebuilding efforts and expert dialogue.
In turn, Janne Taalas expressed strong interest in the ongoing transformations in Kazakhstan and praised the country's efforts to enhance international dialogue and promote a constructive approach to addressing global challenges.
