Kazakhstan and the Emirates Aim to Enhance Collaboration in Advancing Aviation Ties

Abu Dhabi, September 16, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the United Arab Emirates Rauan Zhumabek held a meeting with the Director General of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority, Saif Al Suwaidi.

During the talks, the parties discussed cooperation in the field of civil aviation, including the development of air services, operation of passenger flights between the two countries, expansion of designated points, as well as other issues related to the regular air transport.

R.Zhumabek informed his interlocutor about the measures undertaken by the kazakh side to expand the geography of international flights and to increase the frequency of flights on existing routes.

Particular attention was paid to issues of improving the legal framework and resuming air services, which could provide a strong impetus for further development of trade, economic, business, and tourism cooperation between Kazakhstan and the UAE.

At present, 60 regular flights per week are operated between the two countries on 7 routes. These flights are carried out by Kazakhstan’s airline «Air Astana», as well as the Emirati carriers «Fly Dubai» and «Air Arabia».
