Bangkok, September 12, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Thailand Margulan Baimukhan met with Surangkana Techapaitun, Deputy chairperson of the board of Samitivej and BNH Group of Hospitals.
During the talks, the parties discussed expanding cooperation in the field of medical education and tourism, including the upcoming visit of a thai delegation to Almaty to tour the S.Asfendiyarov Medical University and specialized institutions, as well as prospects for joint training of specialists and conducting scientific research, particularly in pediatrics.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan briefed the counterparts on key points of the President of Kazakhstan’s Address of September 8, 2025, highlighting the importance of introducing digital technologies in healthcare and education. The importance of strengthening academic ties, innovative cooperation, and medical tourism, which will also be facilitated by the launch of regular Thai AirAsia flights starting in December of this year was highlighted.
Both sides confirmed their mutual interest in deepening the partnership and implementing joint projects aimed at developing medicine, education, and tourism, as well as strengthening friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Thailand.
Samitivej and BNH Group of Hospitals are part of the Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS) medical holding, which unites more than 50 clinics across Asia and holds leading positions in medical services, medical tourism, and staff training.
