Kazakhstan and Greece Expand Cooperation in the Field of Justice

Athens, September 4, 2025 – Timur Sultangozhin, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Greece, held a meeting with Georgios Floridis, the Minister of Justice of Greece.

During the talks, the current state and prospects of Kazakh-Greek cooperation in the legal sphere were discussed. Particular attention was paid to issues of forensic expertise, the digitalization of justice, the use of artificial intelligence in jurisprudence, as well as the automation of law enforcement and regulatory procedures.

The Kazakh side presented a number of initiatives aimed at modernizing the legal system, including the introduction of digital platforms in judicial practice, the operation of the “Digital Justice” system, and the creation of conditions for online access to legal services.

The meeting also touched upon the key directions of the socio-political reforms being carried out in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In particular, discussions focused on strengthening the rule of law, enhancing guarantees of judicial independence, reforming human rights institutions, including the establishment of a Constitutional Court, and the institutional development of the Ombudsman’s office.

The parties reaffirmed their interest in expanding practical cooperation, including possible exchanges of experts, the organization of training activities, as well as the elaboration of bilateral agreements in the legal domain.

At the conclusion of the meeting, mutual readiness was expressed to further strengthen dialogue and broaden cooperation in the field of justice, with particular emphasis on protecting citizens’ rights and enhancing the effectiveness of law enforcement practices.
