Kazakhstan and Kuwait Strengthen Cooperation on Pressing Issues on the Bilateral Agenda

Al-Kuwait, July 23, 2025 – The Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the State of Kuwait Yerzhan Yelekeyev held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya.

During the meeting, the Ambassador Yelekeyev noted that our country is committed to expanding political cooperation, as well as deepening economic and investment dialog with the State of Kuwait.

The Kazakh diplomat familiarized the head of the Foreign Ministry of Kuwait Ali Al-Yahya with the priorities of economic development of Kazakhstan, noting that the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has set a task for the Government of the country – to increase the volume of gross domestic product to 450 billion US dollars by 2029. In addition, during the same period, the country is expected to attract foreign direct investment worth 150 billion US dollars.

In this regard, the Kazakh side invited representatives of the Kuwait business community to consider the possibility of investment cooperation in the most promising sectors of the economy, including agribusiness, logistics and artificial intelligence.

During the meeting, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan presented copies of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait.

At the end of the conversation, Ambassador Yelekeyev expressed confidence in the further strengthening of the partnership between Kazakhstan and Kuwait, based on mutual trust, common prosperity, and strong friendship.
