Islamabad, July 16, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan Yerzhan Kistafin held a meeting with the Executive Director of the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in the South (COMSATS), Mohammad Nafees Zakaria.
During the talks, the parties discussed in detail promising areas of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Organization, outlining plans for further expansion of interaction.
Mohammad Nafees Zakaria expressed his readiness to provide a wide range of trainings, educational seminars in various specialties, available laboratories, including in the field of nanotechnology, and to demonstrate the developed IT solutions.
Considering the significant scientific achievements of Kazakhstan, the head of COMSATS also proposed holding one of the Organization’s events in Kazakhstan.
For his part, Ambassador Kistafin supported the announced initiatives, spoke about the work carried out by the Embassy, highly appreciating the contribution of Mohammad Zakaria to the revitalization of COMSATS activities, and emphasizing the special importance of developing cooperation in the field of science and technology, including strengthening ties between scientific institutions and scientists of the Organization’s member countries.
As a result of negotiations, it was agreed to strengthen interaction between the Embassy and COMSATS to promote mutually beneficial cooperation.
